Root Canal Treatment

Your tooth contains a vein that feeds it with a blood supply and life. When a cavity goes through your enamel and dentin, it affects the vein and makes an infection. This causes severe tooth pain and even jaw pain. The root canal treatment is where Dr. Lecours goes and simply cleans out the diseased vein, fill it with a biologically-inert substance, seal it from further infection, and you're on your way!

After having a root canal treatment, we recommend a crown to strengthen the tooth and prevent it from further damage.

The removal of a tooth is not always necessary but when a tooth has decayed or has cracked passed the point of repairing an extraction is needed. Wisdom teeth are often extracted due to the lack of space.
